Dr. Graves is a native of Monroe. After graduating from Ouachita Christian High School, he attended LSU and received a BA in Zoology. While at LSU, he served as the starting quarterback and CO-captain for the football team. After obtaining his medical degree from LSU in New Orleans, Dr. Graves completed his orthopaedic residency in Jackson at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Following a fellowship in Sports Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee, Graves joined the Orthopaedic Clinic of Monroe.
